Virginia Postrel, has taken the bait on this one (see item below, from Thurs. I believe). I sen't her a note about it, but just to review, it appears that no attempt was made to plant Lynx hairs in the environment, but some confusion may have arisen from the use of captive Lynx hairs to test the quality of the analysis from the lab. I will be looking into this more, as well.
